VAP d’Entreves is an international reinsurance and insurance brokers based in Milan and London.
Challenge
The client intended relocating to another floor within its existing premises in central London. Delay was experienced from BT by the client in moving the client’s lines. Further delay occurred in the client receiving permission from the landlord for the move to the new location and then to obtain physical access to it. Although Marcom was primed to proceed, on three occasions the start date was halted while the outstanding delaying issues were resolved.
Solution
Marcom’s brief was to relocate the client’s existing telecoms system. The brief included responsibility for cabling the new premises and ensuring a smooth transfer of the telecoms system. Following a site survey, Marcom’s Dave Daniells, Senior Cabling Engineer, recommended that a new cabinet to house the equipment would enhance the installation. Despite initial doubts the client subsequently agreed to increase Marcom’s scope of work to include the new cabinet.
Results
Marcom responded empathetically to the unexpected delays and was ‘ready to go’ when it suited the client. The work was completed as planned and the new cabinet achieved its objective of enhancing the client’s telephony infrastructure.
VAP d’Entreves’ Technical Accounting Manager, Brian Bromfield, commented to the Marcom Account Manager Richard Sealy “Following the transfer of our system, we would like to thank you for the excellent and thoroughly professional service that we received from both you and your company. In particular, we would like to thank Dave Daniells for his assistance, courtesy and wealth of knowledge, which enabled us to transfer without a hitch. Overall an absolute pleasure doing business with you.”
