Avaya IP Dect mobile devices for employees who roam within a building or campus

IP Dect devices delive high-quality wireless voice communications, with the benefits of the DECT standard including high security, scalability and low power consumption.

Avaya currently offers two handset models, along with an outdoor and an indoor base station. The base stations have eight voice and four signalling channels and can be pwered directly via the LAN. The indoor stations can also be connected to mains power via an optional adaptor. The entry level 3701 handset offers basic telephony features, a 50 entry contact list and multiple ring tones. It has a talk time of twenty hours and a standby time of 200 hours. THe 3711 handset has added features such as a larger display, easy-to-use menus, corporate directory integration and WAP browsing. Avaya recommends that for full feature functionality the 3711 handset be used with the IP DECT solution.  

The Avaya IP DECT solution will support up to 32 base stations and 120 handsets when used with IP Office.
