Since being founded in 1979, they have grown into a global business, with coaching and consulting offices in over 35 countries around the world.

The Need for an Agile, Self-Serve Solution

As The Ken Blanchard Companies continued to grow over the years, they found that they needed a variety of marketing assets on a daily basis for their global partners. To solve this, they brought in a programmer to create a system where these partners could access Marketing assets when needed.

Unfortunately, they didn’t see as much success in this system as they had hoped for. Many partners were unable to use the system and continued to go to the Marketing team for one-off creative requests. They often needed a specific logo or template and could not find what they were looking for. In addition, the functionality of the system was not efficient. To load one asset for multiple people to use, the asset had to be uploaded multiple times with different names. After years of inefficiencies and headaches from this system, the Marketing team decided they wanted something more agile and self-serve, to make the process easier for everyone involved.

The Solution: MarcomCentral

In 2018, The Ken Blanchard Companies launched on MarcomCentral, with a goal of getting rid of one-off requests and providing a self-service experience for their team.

Since launching, they’ve uploaded over 600 marketing assets to MarcomCentral and have over 1,000 users. Every single asset uploaded to MarcomCentral has been vetted by the Marketing team, which ensures that all collateral is up-to-date, on-brand, and legally approved.

The 1,000+ users have quick and easy access to downloadable marketing assets, resulting in a significant reduction in one-off requests for the Marketing team. Additionally, the Marketing Team is able to use the Business Intelligence Tool to see which assets are being downloaded most frequently. This not only allows them to ensure that the tool is being used, but it helps provide an ROI within the company.

In the future, The Ken Blanchard Companies plans to continue expanding their use of MarcomCentral, by adding Advanced Search and exploring more uses for the Business Intelligence Tool. Overall, they are extremely happy with the decision to move from a homegrown solution to MarcomCentral, which has saved them a great deal of time, energy, and money!
