Run the uninstaller to uninstall any previous versions:
For new installations, you must have Adobe Acrobat Professional (8.x, 9.x, 10.x, 11.x) installed prior to running the FusionPro installer – Adobe Reader is not compatible. Make sure Adobe Acrobat, InDesign and/or Quark are not running during the installation.
If you are upgrading FusionPro from a previous version, uninstall FusionPro completely. Use the Add / Remove program option from the Microsoft Windows Control Panel, or the Uninstaller located in the Applications | PTI directory on the Apple Macintosh platform.
After verifying that any previous version of FusionPro has been uninstalled, run the new FusionPro installer. When prompted, enter your serial number, ensuring that it is entered in uppercase and hyphens are included. Using lower-case characters or not including the hyphens will not be accepted by the installer.
Please enter your full 27-digit serial number (including dashes) in this format:
Be sure to use the correct installer version for your serial number. Older serial numbers will not work with an newer version’s installer or vice versa. When installing FusionPro VDP Creator, the serial number will begin the version number; i.e. for version 9.x, the serial number will begin with “FP90″. FusionPro Producer and Server will begin with “FS90″.
Location of User Manuals:
The user manuals will be located in the program location of your hard drive selected during the installation. Typical locations are:
On the PC platform – C:Program FilesPTIFusionProManuals
On the Mac platform – [MacHardDrive][Applications][PTI][FusionPro]
Automatic Software Registration:
During the FusionPro VDP software installation process, FusionPro will attempt to contact our software activation server to automatically register the software. In most cases, the installer will successfully perform this action and no further action is required to activate the software. In some cases, however, the FusionPro software may not be able to activate the software automatically due to network security settings or an error accessing your internet connection.
Running Prodactivate to Register FusionPro:
If the FusionPro software was not able to automatically register (one way to check this is to see if Adobe Acrobat has a FusionPro menu visible in it), you can attempt to register it by navigating on your computer to the following location: PTI>FusionPro>. Launch the Prodactivate program located in this folder, and then click the “Register” button. If this process fails, keep the Prodactivate program open as it can be used to manually register the software on the MarcomCentral website.
Manual Product Registration:
In your web browser, navigate to http://register.printable.com/fusionpro/ to access the manual software registration page. Once on the manual registration page, enter the Product ID (which is shown in the Prodactivate program that was run in the previous step) and your serial number along with your company information. Once this information is verified, the manual registration page will provide an “Activation Code”. Copy this entire Activation Code text string from this page and paste it into the “Registration Key” area of the Prodactivate program. Once completed, click the Register button.
If you have any difficulties with registering the FusionPro software after following these steps, please contact the FusionPro support team at fusionProSupport@pti.com.
